The Wakefield Warriors played a close and very lengthy match at Robert E. Lee High School. After singles, the Warriors were down 1-5, but swept all three doubles matches to finish with a score of 4-5.

Singles: Laetitia Noutcha pulled off the Warriors’ singles win at the #3 spot. Grace Kalfatovic and Netsanet Gurmu came very close, but the Lee Lancers opponents took the victories at #1 and #4 singles.

Highlights of the match include:
Netsanet Gurmu showed excellent strokes and persistence during singles and refusing to back down even when her opponent took the lead.

The #1 doubles team of Grace Kalfatovic & Sophia Bandini took control of the match early on and used effective communication and placement to remain comfortably in control throughout the match.

The # 2 doubles team of Laetitia Noutcha & Jhina Velasquez Cespedes stayed calm and used their knowledge of placement and stroke form to play a consistent match which also kept them in control throughout the match.

The #3 doubles team of Netsanet Gurmu and Camila Alvarez Larraga played a marathon match due to their persistence and refusal to quit even when the Lee Lancers took the lead. The duo chipped away at the scoreboard using every point as another opportunity to show off their skills, which resulted in them taking the lead and the eventual win to conclude the Warrior sweep of doubles.
