Wakefield finishes their regular season by defeating Falls Church on the road, 79-50. The Warriors got out to a 25-6 first quarter and never looked back. Led by Halil Parks 23 points, 6-8 from 3-point range, 6 assist, and 6 rebounds. 10 other players scored in tonight’s actions. Wakefield finished the regular season 20-1, 11-1 in the conference. The Warriors won the conference tie breaker over Marshall and now will be the #1 seed in the conference tournament, starting 2/17/16. Wakefield has a bye and will play Thursday, 2/18/16 at home at 7 pm vs the winner of Stuart and Lee.

Game Recap

Wakefield was just too much for Jefferson tonight, holding them to just 5 point in two quarters. The Warriors led at halftime 49-5.
Alan Treakle scored 11 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 8 steals. Deng Nhial led all scorers with 16 points in only 1 half of action. Sophomore Amari Cooper scored 15 points, and Eric Martin connected on 3 for 3 from the 3-point line adding 11 points. Gus Gonzalez in his first start of the year added 9 points.
Wakefield now moves to 19-1 overall and 10-1 in conference play. Wakefield will travel to Falls Church Friday to play their last regular season game before the conference tournament starts next week.

The warrior win by 1 as Kyree Johnson hit two free throws with 1.4 sec on the clock to give the Warriors the Victory. Kyree Johnson lead all scorers with 14 pts and Peter Jacobson chipped in with 11, with two big 3s in the 3rd quarter. The warrior trailed the entire game ,but stay with it on defense an escape with the win.

Great effort from the girls!! With a depleted team, I want to thank Rebecca for stepping up to JV to help the team. She had 3pts and was 3 of 4 from free throw line. Kaylah lead the way with 12pts, Jordan 7pts, Kaiyah, Zoe and Sarah with 4pts and Liz with 2.

Wakefield got back on track by defeating Lee, 76-52. Alan Treakle led all scorers with 18. He also had 5 steals and 6 assist. Halil Parks had 11 points, and Gus Gonzalez scored 10 points and 6 rebounds off the bench. All 15 players were able to contribute in today’s game.
The Warriors are now 18-1 overall and 9-1 in the conference with two regular season games to go before the conference tournament.
