There’s nothing more a track coach wants for their athletes than to have them achieve a personal best in their signature event in their last meet of the year as a senior. Now this may not always happen, but for Cierra & Xavier that’s exactly how they ended their impressive high school track & field careers at states this past weekend in Newport News.
Cierra set a personal best of 37’ 9.25” in the triple jump on her 6th and final jump to earn All-State honors for the second year in a row! (6th place)
She Leaves Wakefield with personal bests of:
TJ – 37’ 9.25”
LJ – 16’ .75”
100 – 12.82
200 – 26.33
400 – 58.20
Cierra is great competitor and hard worker who has been a tremendous leader, teammate and exemplar for the entire track team. Her presence will be missed next year as she embarks on a new chapter in her academic and track career at Indiana Tech, where she’ll continue to focus on sprinting and jumping.
