Game Recap

Strong service made the difference for the Warriors Freshman Volleyball Team last night in their win against Edison. In the first set, our 25-9 win was based largely on 19 successful serves, with half of them aces, coming from Thi Ley, Ashley Flores, Quincy Jackson and Layla Kherbouch. Nevaeh Wallace had four solid attacks that Edison could not return. Thi Ley had a number of assists and one attack in the first set.

In the second set, Thi Ley’s outstanding performance was too much for the opposition. She delivered no fewer than 14 serves including 7 aces. As if that were not enough she had a half dozen assists and a tipped ball that Edison couldn’t return. Overall, with our serves and 5 attacks from Rosemary Hill, Anna Wood, Megan Mazel and Layla Kherbouch in the second set, Wakefield recorded an impressive 25-8 win.

This brings our record to 4-2 and 4-1 in our division. Our next match is tonight against TJ. Looking forward to your support of this terrific team.
